Our dedicated Teaching Team in Green Valley School reflects our firm belief in a balanced, holistic educational programme, combining the importance of academic and human excellence. Our GVS Family is made of different smaller teams with a clear management structure. The Senior Leadership Team manages the Primary and Secondary school. The Teaching Team is divided into both Primary and Secondary teachers and also importantly Primary teaching assistants.
As a British International School in Spain, our teachers have experience with the British National Curriculum and are subject specialists, meaning they have specifically studied at university the subject that they teach. Green Valley also teaches the Diploma Program for the International Baccalaureate in Years 12 and 13.
All teachers that teach this program have their Level 1 training from the International Baccalaureate. In conjunction with this, as we are a British School operating in Spain and accepting Spanish students, we also comply with the Spanish Ministry of Education’s guidelines. This means that a Technical Director manages the Spanish department in GVS. Additionally, the Spanish and Catalan teachers all possess their necessary qualifications from the Ministry of Education.
Importantly, we are also aware that we search not only for qualifications and experience, but we also look for teachers that exemplify human values, are balanced, carers and motivators. Therefore, our Teaching Team reflects this. We are a group of international, open minded, experienced educators who all believe in the same mission, to combine academic and human excellence to achieve a unique teaching and learning environment.
